Amy Hyde Amy Hyde is the Co-Founder of Mindful Waters, a Modern Wellness Spa located just North of New York City along the Hudson River in Northvale NJ. She and her Partner, Carl Pate, created Mindful Waters as an accessible oasis where one can focus on personal wellness and recovery. A natural Athlete, Amy grew up surrounded by water in Michigan and attended Kenyon College in Ohio. At Kenyon She majored in Biology, was an All-American Swimmer, and Co-Captain of the 1984 NCAA National Championship Women’s Swim Team. Training under Jim Steen, one of the greatest coaches of all-time. Amy learned that extraordinary performance required more than physical effort. Jim was ahead of his time developing concepts of strength training, intentional nutrition, recovery, breath work, visualization and mental focus, that made the difference in his athletes. Early Years with Ralph Lauren were extremely exciting and once again she found herself a part of a team that was doing extraordinary things. As the Mother of two boys and the bread winner for her family, working long hours leading corporate divisions eventually took their toll. In 2007 Amy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. This came as a surprise but, with quick response and focus she put the cancer successfully behind her. In 2015 both children were grown, the Apparel Industry was changing dramatically, and the door was opened for a reset and start of a “third life”. This time the focus could be helping others and pursuing a greater understanding of biology and human health. Together Amy and Carl envisioned and created Mindful Waters to educate and serve the community by offering primary care through purified water and modern versions of ancient therapies proven to relieve stress and gently support physical and mental well being.

David E. Krause David E. Krause MD  is a board-certified Otolaryngologist trained at the University of Illinois, Chicago.  During his residency, he was mentored by such notable ENT experts as Emanuel Skolnick and Burton Soboroff in head and neck surgery, Gabriel Tucker and Loren Holinger in pediatric otolaryngology, Joyce Schild in laryngology, Edward Applebaum and Richard Buckingham in otology, and M. Eugene Tardy in facial plastic surgery.   As his graduation from residency approached, he received coast-to-coast practice offers ranging from small rural towns to glamour capitals. In the end, he chose his own path, establishing his own solo practice  in his home town of Kankakee, Illinois, which remains his primary practice location. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jj8osQ6S6-E Over the years, in addition to his core practice of general adult and pediatric ENT medicine and surgery, Dr. Krause has expanded his services to include  comprehensive audiology, hearing aids, allergy management, and office endoscopic sinus surgery.  Facial reconstructive surgery and cosmetic medicine have been a staple of the practice, including Botox, dermal fillers, laser and radiofrequency procedures,  microneedling treatments, nasal reconstruction, and facial trauma.  He is a consulting practitioner in Florida and California, and is a visiting instructor in various facial restorative training programs. Dr. Krause is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.  He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngoligic Allergy, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Society of Laser Surgery, the American Society of Hair Replacement Surgery, the American Audiological Association, the Illinois State Medical Society, and the Florida Medical Association.  He is a member of the medical staff at Riverside Healthcare and Amita St. Mary;s Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois, and Broward Health North in Deerfield, Florida, and has been appointed Assistant Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at Loyola Medical Center, Maywood, IL.

Steve Sakala The Founder of Man Artisan Botanics, Steve Sakala, has been a voice for sustainability, regenerative agriculture and medical cannabis for more than two decades. He was educated about the numerous benefits of the cannabis plant at a young age and quickly became passionate about its thousands of uses. He holds the view that it is an indispensable recourse for food, fiber and medicine, as well as reducing our impact on the planet. At just 18, Steve worked with Jack Here in California on the first medical cannabis initiative in 1992, and then again on Proposition 215, which passed and became the Compassionate Use Act of 1996. Shortly thereafter, Steve obtained his first medical grow permit and began his in-depth journey on learning about this versatile plant. Over the last eight years he’s been focused on CBD-rich (cannabidiol) strains with their diverse and potent health benefits. In addition to being a dedicated proponent of medical cannabis and hemp, Steve is a leader in the sustainability movement, building models, working in the legislature and advocating as the president of the local Hawaii farmer’s union. He spend four years in West Africa after college, experiencing how agriculture is the foundation of culture. He came to realize that to drive the kind of positive change he wanted to see in the world, he needed to focus his energy on the land. After many years working with cannabis and on other sustainability projects, he eventually bought a farm in Hawaii with others who shared in his desire to build wholistic living models. Despite the hurdles following that housing crash of 2008, Steve, with the help of Melinda, won a successful 5 year-long battle against the big banks to save the. farm. He has since been growing his community vision, having co-created the Honaunau Farm Wellness Retreat. The retreat is an aspiring regenerative loving model on the Big Island of Hawaii and the birthplace of Mana Artisan Botanics. Now in its 8th year, the farm has been host to hundreds of interns and guests from all over the world and has served as the connection point for the Mana Ohana: Shimyrre, Director of Product, lived on the farm in 2013. Pelin was introduced to the many benefits CBD can deliver without the psychoactive component while she was a guest at the farm in 2016. And, it was the life-changing experiences CBD-rich therapeutics delivered for his 12-year-old son with cerebral palsy that led Andy to join our ohana.
